N2 - The review discusses the role of omnipresent transcription factors of the NF1 family in the development, establishment and regulation of tissue-specific gene expression in multicellular organisms with a different degree of complexity. The molecular mechanisms underlying the effect of these transcription factors on the development of tissues in the evolutionary lineage of multicellular animals are analyzed.
