The article analyzes the dynamic that led to a Russian disappointment toward the Weestern policy (either USA or EU) and the following reaction in search to an autonomous profile. The policy followed in support of the Eurasian Economic Union, the relations with a number of regional networks and the debate on the Russian identity have been considered and discussed in the current context of a globalized but disordered world.
