Status of effective four-fermion interaction in low-energy quantum chromodynamics

Abstract

Principles for selecting the four-fermion models as a low-energy approximation of the QCD are formulated for the gauged Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model in the dynamic symmetry breaking regime. On their basis the possibility of intrinsic stabilization at a finite momentum cutoff Λ is considered by means of an effective potential. Within the framework of the approach we study the influence of the gluon condensate on the parameters of the effective chiral Lagrangian at low energies. Bibliography: 8 titles.
