Currently, socially responsible business in Europe is a concept where by companies integrate corporate social responsibility activities, focusing on social and environmental issues into their own corporate strategies on a voluntary basis. CSR activities should meet one of the main objectives of corporate responsibility, and it is a social need. There was a significant shift in the area of corporate responsibility in Slovakia compared to 90 years ago, even though they are still gaps in the sphere of small business. Everyone, small and medium-sized businesses have to consider the long-term goal that increasechance to be innovative and economically sustainable.
The paper analyzes the relevance of the issue of corporate social responsibility at national and international level, focusing on the need to mobilize CSR activities at small businesses.
