Peculiarities of the deformation of alloys with the shape memory effect in nonsteady cyclic loading

Abstract

A comparative study was made for materials with various mechanisms of plastic strain under cyclic loading. Commercial copper, Fe-18% Mn, alloy and titanium nickelide of equiatomic composition were chosen as objects of the study. Specimens of corset type were loaded by an alternating symmetric tension-compression cycle with overloads both in rigid and soft conditions.
