Numerical analysis of velocity and power fields

Abstract

Distributions of velocity electrohydrodynamic flows in system of electrodes wire (edge) over plate was described. Tiny gas bubbles (10-50 mkm), as inclusions for visualization are used. Special investigations show, that error, which caused by bubbles, does not exceed 5%. The conductivity of liquid is invariable. High limit of range of velocity reached to 2-5 m/c. Special program for processing video records of EHD flows was elaborated. This program allow to construct of fields of velocities in two dimension plot. Vector fields of velocities in mixture of transformer oil with polar additions under different voltage are described in paper. Electric power in gap between electrodes are constructed by means this program.
