Multiplet-Matched Filtering of Rh-103 Signal Using Information Contained in P-31 Spectrum of AAXX P-31-Rh-103 Spin System

Abstract

Splitting parameters measured in the sensitive P-31 part of an AAXX P-31-Rh-103 spectrum make it possible to perform a multiplet-matched digital filtering of the weak (103)Rhfree induction decay signal. Compared to the conventional matched exponential weighting, this multiplet-matched filtering has provided a gain of 1.8 +/- 0.4 in the signal-to-noise ratio of the experimental rhodium spectrum. The maximum gain predicted theoretically is equal to 2.
