The distributions of the REE and Mn2+ have been examined in fluorites formed in the preore, ore, and postore stages of the formation of greisen tin and tungsten deposits by quantitative spectral analysis, electron spin resonance, thermoluminescence, and photoluminescence. There are regular variations in the relative indicators of acidity and redox potential during the formation of tin and tungsten mineralization. Ranges in these parameters are proposed for classifying ore (relative to tin and tungsten) and barren associations and zones. -from Journal summary
