N2 - The problem of the glass-forming tendency of a material is very far from being solved in spite of several established principles. The most promising solution of this problem involves the study of critical cooling rate. The aim of the present work was to make an experimental study of the glass-forming tendency in the As-Te system and to compare the data obtained with the results of theoretical calculations.
