A set of techniques for processing analysis data aimed at estimation of wild fire danger of geocomplexes based on GIS-technology is elaborated. Scanned charts of landscapes, soil, quartenary deposits, data on vegetation indexes (obtained from MODIS), satellite images on fire areas and mateo data set on temperature and precipitations over the North-West of Russia are used. An attempt to elaborate a joint index of fire danger of the surface by means of modeling water deficit in soil and landscape features is undertaken.
