The possibility of the formation of a two-dimensional discrete structure of a laser beam on an extended atmospheric path with different levels of atmospheric turbulence was investigated. The initial structure was formed by phase modulation of the wavefront of the beam at the laser exit. A pulsed neodymium laser, whose radiation was focused at a distance of about 1 km using a telescope objective with a 470 mm exit aperture, was used in the experiments.
