Abstract

We point out and correct the erroneous numerical results calculated by H.E. Montgomery Jr. and K.D. Sen concerning the statistical complexity and the Fisher–Shannon information measure for the ground state View the MathML sourceH2+ molecule ion as a function of internuclear distance in momentum space and as a product in position and momentum spaces. In addition we have shown that Coulson-type wave function approximation used by authors leads to notable (up to almost 20%) discrepancies between such approximated results and exact ones.
