In this article, the reader will find an attempt of understanding the position of employed intellectual workers in the modern economy, which is called a «cognitive capitalism» by a number of researchers. Authors of the article take the position of interpretating the interaction between the cognitariat and large capital as traditionally antagonistic. The attention of the authors is focused on such categories as the assessment of the cost of labor of workers, working conditions, qualification requirements, the ratio of wages in the spatial plane. It has been established that under equal working conditions, identical qualification requirements and within the same digital ecosystems of Russia, there is a significant difference in the salaries of the cognitariat of Moscow and St. Petersburg, as well as Russia and the USA Based on the analysis of the vacancies, presented under the vast digital ecosystems of Russia and USA, the study draws conclusions about the perspectives and possible social risks of the current intellectual labour market.
