Axisymmetric vibrations of thin shells of revolution joint by a parallel

Abstract

The asymptotic formulae for the lowest frequencies of axisymmetric vibrations of two joint shells are obtained. These formulae are valid for all values of the connection angle. The axisymmetric vibrations of a cylindrical shell joint with a conical shell are considered as an example. The comparison of the asymptotic and numerical results is performed.
