This article is devoted to the comparison of two treatises on the functioning of the court community in England at the turn of the XVI-XVII centuries. Here, the main points of the work of William Segar and Robert Naunton, as well as similar ideas that became the expression of changing social norms in the difficult period of English history, are examined.
