The article examines the role of French museums in cultural diplomacy. The author focuses on Museum exhibitions, participation of museums in international humanitarian programs, and opening of foreign branches. Separately, the author focuses on the role of museums in the development of Russian-French cultural relations in the second half of the XX-early XXI centuries.
