The last twenty years often occur «color revolutions». Technologies for conducting such revolutions in the 21st century are constantly changing due to the changing roles on the geopolitical map of the world, the expansion of the sphere of influence of the media, etc. The influence of the media is particularly interesting to study. This study may be interesting and useful for future journalists, political observers and consultants, etc. The object of the study is new media in the “color revolutions” in the post-Soviet space. The subject is the role and place of new media in these events. The purpose of this work is to determine the role of new media in modern “color revolutions” in the countries of the former USSR. The study examined the conditions and factors of the “color revolutions” in the post-Soviet space, analyzed the role of the media factor, studied the conditions and distinctive features of the “Twitter revolution” on the example of the 2009 coup in Moldova, analyzed the opinions of experts in the me
