The article is devoted to the problem of the interrelation of accentual and inflectional indicators in case forms of Russian nouns with a base on a soft consonant. The author examines the variants of the endings of Genitive plural nouns on -ье/-ье, -ья/-ия, -ье/-ие and comes to the conclusion that accents and inflections in case forms interact with each other and define not just inflectional, but inflectional-accentological types of nouns.
