Abstract

This article presents the analysis of the Greek manuscript of the textbook on logic by Sophronios Leichoudes (1652-1730), from whose activity the systematic logical education takes its rise in Moscovia. The doctrine of syllogism - the key section of Aristotelian logic - is considered. Based on the analysis of this doctrine, an attempt is made to identify the Greek and Latin sources of the work of Sofronius, as well as to consider the influence of the treatise on further logical education in Russia.
