The article aims to describe the unfinished novel «A thousand years for God» by a famous Swedish writer Stig Dagerman (1923-1954). The emphasis is made mainly on the analysis of the philosophical problems discussed in the novel. The article also considers the novel's value for evolution of the themes that were the most important for the author as well as its connection with the writer's other works.
