Abstract

This article is devoted to the issue of changing national security service activities in Leningrad before the Nazi German invasion in the USSR. Special attention is given to the main categories of potential enemies of the Soviet regime as well as to the work of censorship and network of intelligencers. The article is based upon the St. Petersburg & Leningrad region's Archive of FSS of Russia.
