The following research paper considers the main patterns of the English language usage by Russian Internet users. The research is based on 1000 random English tweets by Russian-speaking users collected from Twitter. We analyze the main features and some persistent patterns, define their role, roots, frequency, and their general impact on the intercultural online communication. Based on the statistical data, we conclude that these features were successfully adapted and, pragmatically speaking, resulted in mostly positive transfer from the English-language Internet discourse.
