Abstract

The article examines the reaction of government officials, journalists and public figures of Great Britain to the victory of the October Revolution of 1917 in Russia. The ambiguity of the behavior of British ruling circles in relation to the new Russian government is demonstrated. The views of British journalists and public figures on the victory of the October Revolution are also reflected. The author used materials from the British press for 1917, journalistic essays, memoirs and diaries of contemporaries, acts of parliamentary debate in Great Britain for the specified period
