Abstract: Vaporization processes and thermodynamic properties of samarium oxide over thetemperature range 2265–2668 K have been studied by means of high-temperaturemass spectrometry. The values of vaporization enthalpy ofSm2O3 and enthalpy offormation of samarium monoxide at 298 K have been determined. Dependencies ofpartial pressures of SmO and Sm overSm2O3 as functions oftemperature have been obtained over the above-mentioned range.
