Abstract

Location plays a key role in success of the store working, because it is the main factor for attractiveness of the object for buyers. This article describes the evolution of approaches to the choice of location for retail food facilities. The key stages in the development of approaches are considered, the methods with their advantages and disadvantages are highlighted. Special attention is paid to geographic information systems as a tool that very important in the described task solution.
