Abstract
The article analyzes the integration processes in the territory of the former USSR. It is stated that it was not possible to fully utilize the experience of European integration in post-Soviet conditions. It is concluded that for the successful implementation of the Eurasian Economic Union project, it is necessary to take into account the recommendations developed in the theoretical concepts of integration.
