Abstract

The article considers the problem of teaching senior classes students to participate in intercultural English-language historical discourse on the basis of a discourse-oriented integrative approach. The expediency of integrating such subjects as “English language” and “History of Russia” in the elective course under the conditions of profile education at the secondary school is proved. The essence of this approach as an integrated system is revealed, its components are described in detail, among them are the following: purpose, content, principles, and ways of organizing students’ learning activity.
