Design of the environment for human health - prospects for development in St. Petersburg

How to provide new quality of living both in historical and modern districts of Saint-Petersburg? How the urban green works for the healthy living?
What can be done to improve its quality? How should the healthcare environment look like? The research and design projects in Saint-Petersburg state university aim to provide guidelines for the development of therapeutic landscape design not only for the medical institutions but for urban green of Saint-Petersburg in general. Methods and findings are used by the lecturers and alumni of the program also in projects for the city outside the University.
If we compare design process in the University and in real-life projects, we notice, that during the learning process, students have much more freedom to develop their own ideas of the future.
In the real-life projects, there are so many participants and decision-makers, that you never now, what in your project will survive all the regulations.
The role of the University is not only to teach the students, but also to show their projects to the policy and decision makers, to impress and influence them for better development of the future.
