Abstract
For presentation of DNA and its environment in a solution, the spiral staircase distribution function (SSDF) was proposed. SSDF allows one to investigate the interaction of ions, regulatory proteins, pharmaceutical agents, and other ligands with the active sites of purines (N7, N3, and O6) and pyrimidines (O2 and O4).
