Abstract

The article considers concept nature as one of the dominant value concepts of Anglophone art discourse, investigates its anthropocentric and emotiogenic character. The author focuses on the interrelation of concepts nature and sublime and considers the role of these concepts in the formation of emotiogenic potential of a painting.
