The basic parameters of “good social care” are well defined: appropriateness, accessibility, affordability and sustainability. All of these parameters have been severely impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. After two years of a pandemic, it would be pertinent to reveal the best and worst models of social care vis-à-vis pandemic challenges. It is also important to identify innovative policy approaches to care that have emerged in the new reality – at home, in the community and in institutions.
This BBnar will strive to answer the above questions, drawing on European experience and perspectives - both from the East and from the West.
