n the control systems of three-phase electricmachines, a Cartesian coordinate system is used to representthe vectors of current, voltage, and flux linkage. In this paper,vectors are considered in an oblique coordinate system withaxes coinciding with the physical axes of the phases and withan angle between the axes of 120 degrees. In this coordinatesystem, the scalar product, and, accordingly, the expressionsfor power, perpendicularity relations, are expressed moresimply than in the Cartesian system. The measured values ofphase currents and line voltages in an oblique coordinatesystem have an obvious meaning - these are projections ontoconjugate (dual) axes. This consideration is consistent with themethod for determining the power of a three-phase networkusing two wattmeters in Aaron circuit. A simple physicalmeaning when considering electrical machines in an obliquecoordinate system led to a revision of the algorithms in controlsystems for three-phase inverters. The paper considers thefinal step of space vector pulse-width modulation generationand proposes an algorithm for obtaining the values of the dutycycles of switches of 3-phase invertor. The comparison of thisalgorithm with the algorithms proposed by Texas Instruments,STMicroelectronics, NPF Mechatronica-Pro, Russkoeelektrotekhnicheskoe obshchestvo is made and the advantagesof this algorithm are shown (PDF) Modification of the Space Vector Pulse-Width Modulation Algorithm for a Three-Phase Inverter Using an Oblique Coordinate System.
